abstract = "In this paper a numerical study is reported on sharp/blunt leading
edges in a rarefied hypersonic flow. The purpose of this paper is
to investigate the sensitivity of both the flowfield structure and
surface quantities to leading edge thickness variations. DSMC
results indicate that even though for a slightly blunt leading
edge, thickness of one hundredth of the mean free path, the flow
structure was affected far from the nose of the leading edge.
Also, substantial increase in the surface quantities is observed
as the leading edge thickness increases.",
